RMIT students can access a wide range of free software and applications. Some software is only freely available to students in particular programs or courses, others are free for all students.

RMIT is an Adobe Creative Campus, supporting digital fluency and creativity across the University. As part of this, all RMIT students and staff have free access to Adobe Express (Premium). Staff and students who need more technical programs in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite for their studies, research, teaching or to carry out their role also have access to additional programs.
Students and staff can get help using Adobe software via the Adobe Hub at RMIT City campus, which offers one-on-one support from Adobe Coaches, training sessions and more.

Val is RMIT’s official, free-to-use generative AI tool. Val functions like ChatGPT, but any data you share with Val is kept private, secure and confidential – it’s not shared with OpenAI, or any other external organisations outside RMIT.
Val can help you with your study and learning, planning and editing resumes or cover letters, drafting emails, summarising text and much more.
