Information about Library membership, account, collections and access.

Logging in to your Library account

Your Library account includes details about your loans, holds, library messages and overdues. Once you log in, you'll be able to:

  • check current items you have on loan
  • view your loan history
  • check if you have any holds
  • check if your Library account has been blocked
  • reset your login details (CAVAL and Special Borrowers)

RMIT students, staff and alumni: log in with your RMIT ID and password (do not use your Library barcode).

CAVAL and Special Borrowers: log in using Barcode/ID and password.

To reset your password, select the 'Personal Details' tab and click on the 'Caval/Special Borrowers Login Reset' button. If you have forgotten your password, please contact the Library and we will reset it for you.

If at any time your library account has a block, it may be because you have overdue items. Further information on overdues is available. You will not be able to borrow more items until the block has been removed.

You can also log in to 'My Library Account' from the Library home page or by selecting the 'Log in' button on the LibrarySearch banner.
