Become a pilot in Point Cook

Train to become a pilot at Point Cook Airfield, where 4500 feet of unrestricted airspace allows for a wide range of unrestricted training manoeuvres. With access to airspace, terrain and urban environments, trainees gain valuable navigational experience, building the confidence and skills to handle command under various operational conditions and to obtain a Commercial Pilot’s Licence.

RMIT holds an Air Operator’s Certificate, ensuring our graduates are highly employable, with more in-air flight hours than the industry minimum. Flight training is conducted in single-engine aircraft, including C172S Cessna Skyhawk, C182T Cessna Skylane, and the aerobatic 8KCAB Super Decathlon. After earning your Commercial Pilot’s Licence, you can pursue an optional instrument rating in our Frasca 242 flight simulator and the twin-engine PA44-180 Piper Seminole.
