You are required to carry a PTV concession card when you travel on public transport in Victoria. Your student card is the property of RMIT. In accordance with RMIT policy, all students must:
Student cards are invalid if you're no longer enrolled at RMIT. If you cancel your enrolment, return your card to Student Connect or Campus Security.
Your first student card is free. Once you are enrolled, it’s best to order a card online as soon as possible. This is especially important if your program requires you have access to secure areas like labs and studios.
When you order online, your card will be posted straight to your home address.
Before you order your first card:

We'll send an email to your RMIT student email account letting you know when your photo has been approved and your card has been posted to your mailing address. Most students receive their student card in 3-5 business days.
If you lose your card or it is stolen, you can order a replacement student card. You must be currently enrolled in an RMIT program to be eligible for a replacement student card.
A replacement card costs $15 which must be paid by the student.
Once you order your replacement card, it will be posted to you in 3–5 business days.

If you urgently need a student card (e.g. to access secure spaces like labs or studios as part of program) you can have your card printed in-person on the City, Brunswick or Bundoora campus at the locations listed below. Please note, there can be long wait times for in-person card printing at the start of semester, so consider ordering your card online as soon as possible and we’ll mail it to your address in 3-5 business days.
Please note, if you are replacing a lost or stolen card, or have already requested a card to be posted to you, a $15 fee will be charged to cover the cost of re-printing your card on campus.
