Apprenticeships and traineeships

Fee information for Australian residents studying trade apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs through RMIT.

RMIT’s strong industry links will ensure that on completion you are highly skilled and employable.

The tuition fees you will pay depend on your program and whether you are offered a Victorian Government subsidised place or a full-fee place. Learn more about the eligibility criteria for a government subsidised place and fees for vocational study.

Reduced fees and fee assistance

You may be entitled to apply for a fee concession or exemption if you are in a Victorian Government subsidised place and you meet the eligibility criteria.

VET Student Loans

You may be eligible for a capped loan under the Australian Government's VET Student Loans scheme. This scheme replaces VET FEE-HELP (VFH) loans.

Find out more at RMIT's VET Student Loans webpage.

Student services and amenities fee

In addition to tuition fees, you will be charged a student services and amenities fee (SSAF), which is used to maintain and enhance services and amenities that improve your experience as an RMIT student.

Other fees

You may be required to purchase other items related to your program, including textbooks and equipment. These additional fees and expenses vary from program to program.
