Members of the Student Advisory Board assist the Library in designing services that are effective and responsive to the needs of all RMIT students.
The Student Advisory Board would like to hear them!
Share your suggestions and the Board will discuss your submission at the next meeting.
The Student Advisory Board (SAB) is a standing body of 15-20 students. Its members contribute to Library decision-making by representing student needs and preferences, and by providing feedback and suggestions on Library services and offerings.
The Student Advisory Board meets three times per semester, and contributes to user feedback sesions throughout the year.
Students from all colleges and levels of study across our Australian campuses are welcome to apply during recruitment periods. The members of the Board are chosen through a nomination/expression of interest process.
If you are a student who is interested in joining the board you can submit your expression of interest. Your submission will be considered in our next round of recruitment.
If you are a staff member, you can nominate a student for the Library’s Student Advisory Board.
SAB members are expected to:
Attend Board meetings (preferably on-site at the Carlton Library, lunch provided).
Offer ideas and suggestions to help the Library improve and better serve the student body.
Share your knowledge of the student experience at RMIT.
By joining the Student Advisory Board, you will
Help shape our services and influence the future of the Library.
Learn about and contribute to Library efforts to gather student feedback, including the opportunity to participate in feedback sessions.
Develop communication skills, gain leadership experience, and build your resume.
