Student representatives on a Student-Staff Consultative Committee (SSCC) help identify and voice areas of improvement for a program (e.g. Bachelor of Commerce, Diploma of Visual Arts), provide student feedback and work collaboratively with academic staff to shape curriculum.
As an SSCC Student Representative, you will:
Any current student enrolled at RMIT who is passionate about their RMIT experience and interested in representing the student voice of their cohort.
For more information on the SSCC, please refer to the SSCC Representative Manual.
Please note: SSCCs do not deal with official complaints about academic programs, staff or students. Find out how to submit a complaint.
Reporting to RMIT Council, the Academic Board is the governing body responsible for oversight of RMIT's academic mission. This includes learning and teaching, scholarship, research and research training.
Elected Student Representatives provide feedback to the Board to help improve the student experience.
The academic board allows for the election of six student representatives annually. Students typically serve a one-year term.
Join the RMIT University Student Union (RUSU) and you can help shape the student experience as a member or nominate yourself to become an elected representative. RUSU is run by students, for students.
RMIT values every student’s voice and we are lucky to have thousands of students who help shape life at RMIT everyday. Watch the video to hear from students who are having their say.
