Course Description
This course will provide you with essential techniques for planning and managing projects. Topics covered in this course include:
• Project selection measures
• Developing a project plan
• Specifying project scope
• Time and cost management methods
• Resource planning

Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)
This course contributes to the following BH112 program learning outcomes:
- PLO1: Determine and apply knowledge of complex project management theory to your professional practice and/or further study
- PLO2: Professionally communicate to a range of audiences, demonstrating in depth knowledge of the discipline and of the needs of diverse project management stakeholders
- PLO3: Formulate evidence-based solutions to industry problems or issues through the application of logical, critical and creative thinking, and the analysis, synthesis and application of theoretical, digital, human and technical skills

Learning activities in this course will include problem solving and case study exercises, group discussions, and individual and team-based activities.

Overview of Assessment
You will be assessed on how well you meet the course’s learning outcomes and on your development against the program learning outcomes. Assessment consists of:
Task 1: Class activities (weekly, individual): (35%) CLO1, CLO2
Task 2: Group assignment - Stage one: (20%) CLO2, CLO3
Task 3: Group assignment - Final stage: (45%) CLO2
Feedback will be given on all assessment tasks.
