Course Description
As a professional working in the digital age it is important that you can interrogate the role and consequences of information systems in business and society. In this course you will examine your ethical responsibilities as a professional, and apply ethical theories and reasoning to issues and dilemmas in areas such as: technology, work and employment; online privacy; online security; intellectual property; data analytics; artificial intelligence; and more.

Upon completion of this course you will able to:
CLO1: Critically analyse ethical issues and ethical dilemmas in business and information systems.
CLO2: Critically reflect on ethical theories and apply them to support effective decision-making in business and information systems.
CLO3: Elucidate and debate theories, concepts and issues pertaining to business ethics for a digital society.
Overview of Learning Activities
In this course you will be encouraged to be an active learner. Your learning will be supported through various in-class and online activities comprising individual and group work. These may include quizzes; assignments; prescribed readings; sourcing, researching and analysing specific information; solving problems; conducting presentations; producing written work and collaborating with peers on set tasks or projects.
