Course Description

In this course you will explore how to capture industry quality sound and image through the application of a range of audio and image capture technologies and techniques. You will investigate the principles of sound production and image composition, and apply these principles to a range of productions.


Objectives/Learning Outcomes/Capability Development

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES


Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to:

  • explain the key principles of sound production and image composition
  • identify and analyse the sound and image requirements for a production, including acoustics and microphone selection, as well as lighting and composition
  • produce location based audio recordings, using a range of sound recording equipment
  • capture and compose moving images using a range of technologies
  • reflect on productions to identify areas of strength and areas for improvement
