Course Description
In this course you will explore modes of production practice relating to emerging technologies and cultural shifts. You will analyse the relationship between social media and industrial media, and investigate the impact on screen and media production. You will also examine ways in which emergent media productions are funded, as well as the importance of repurposing content for multiple media platforms. The course includes practical application, in terms of the development of proposals targeted at the engagement and interactive participation of particular audiences.

Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to:
- Explain emerging practices in screen media production, such as the changing role of the audience
- Describe how content can be developed across a number of media platforms and delivery methods
- Investigate approaches to the development and funding of emergent forms of media productions
- Develop a business proposal for a cross-media production that incorporates methods of audience engagement and interactivity
