Course Description
In this course you will conduct and report on a research or professional inquiry project in the field of education. You will focus on your role as a qualifying teacher active in scholarship and knowledge production about learning, teaching, and educational policy. You will engage in a capstone project and research, evaluate, and develop an identified topic, issue or context with an emphasis on the application of theory to practice in educational settings. You will develop your expertise as an informed, critical practitioner with responsibilities to the learners you teach, to your colleagues, the community, and the profession.

In this course you will develop the following program learning outcomes:
PLO2 Create learning environments that articulate a broad and holistic understanding of the needs of learners and society based on evidence-informed and data practices and theoretical perspectives.
PLO3 Critically analyse relevant evidence-based disciplinary and interdisciplinary knowledge and experience to plan, implement and assess student learning, social and intellectual development.
PLO4 Apply professional knowledge, self-awareness, judgment and research skills to develop agile education solutions and make evidence-based decisions for application in specific teaching environments.
