Course Description
This course provides an immersive introduction to Arts and Technology Education through an investigation of arts and design, and technology disciplines included in curricular frameworks. Critically addressing 21st century contexts and approaches for teaching and learning through the arts and technology, you will become familiar and adept with the design and development of creative learning environments, pedagogies, and cross-curricular approaches. Contemporary theories and practices of arts education are explored through your participation in immersive workshops which utilise multiple spaces across the RMIT campus, along with museums, galleries, and public spaces across the city of Melbourne. You will also explore a range of hands-on creative practices that develop multi-arts skills, technological awareness, critical and creative thinking, and the application of 21st century technologies as an arts and technology educator.

You will be actively engaged in a range of learning activities such as workshops, tutorials, seminars, project work, class discussion, individual and group activities. Teaching and learning may be face to face, online, or a combination of both.
