Course Description
This course explores contemporary perspectives on creativity and innovation, emphasising their strategic role in building entrepreneurial organisations that can thrive in global markets shaped by evolving technological, social, and environmental trends. Through a blend of theory and practical tools, you will develop the skills to manage innovation processes and drive sustainable competitive advantage. Key topics include the innovation imperative, creative problem-solving approaches, innovation management strategies, and methods for measuring innovation performance. By the end of the course, you will be equipped with the skills and frameworks needed to effectively lead and manage innovation in dynamic business settings.
Objectives/Learning Outcomes/Capability Development

On successful completion of this course you will be able to:
1. Explain the relationship between creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and their impact on business growth, sustainability, and value creation. 2. Investigate the factors that inhibit creativity in individuals and teams, as well as innovation within organisations, and recommend strategies to foster entrepreneurial behaviour. 3. Critique strategies and frameworks for innovation management and assess their effectiveness in achieving business goals. 4. Work individually and collaboratively to apply a range of tools and techniques that facilitate creative problem-solving and drive innovation. 5. Evaluate the characteristics of innovative organisations and propose actionable strategies for businesses to successfully emulate these traits. 6. Deliver effective presentation and communication skills in diverse business and professional contexts.Overview of Learning Activities
In this course, you will be actively engaged in a variety of learning activities designed to support your development as an independent and collaborative learner. These activities will include both in-class and online components, comprising individual and group work. You may participate in quizzes, assignments, and discussions; engage with recommended readings; research, analyse, and present specific information; solve complex problems; deliver presentations; produce work across various media; and collaborate with peers on tasks and projects.
