None. It is assumed that students have an English proficiency of 5.5 in IELTS or equivalent.
Course Description
This course lays the foundation for students to communicate in English in their Foundation Program and future studies. Students will increase their English skills in academic contexts and learn strategies to succeed in higher education. Themes will include social and digital connections, communication, education now and in the future, and professionalism.

Course Learning Outcomes
CLO1 Use strategies to understand and respond to listening and reading texts in formal and informal academic genres.
CLO2 Organise and present coherent ideas, arguments, opinions and reflections in speaking and writing.

The course will comprise a combination of class exercises, projects, group work and oral presentations. Learning activities may include excursions, library sessions, research projects and group work.
