Course Description
You will explore the impact of modern lifestyle behaviours and youth issues on mental health, wellbeing and relationships. Emphasis will be placed on teaching pedagogy around the issues of sex education, mental health, drug and alcohol education, cyberbullying, and building positive relationships. Cross professional, gender and cultural understanding and philosophic enquiry will be debated through discussions. You will also critically examine issues and strategies available to support the safe, responsible and ethical use of ICT in learning and teaching.

In this course, you will develop the following program learning outcomes:
- Demonstrate broad and coherent theoretical and technical knowledge in practical applications in Health, Physical Education and Sport
- Analyse and evaluate student-centred learning approaches to plan effectively for differentiation in health, physical education and sport
- Apply initiative, curiosity, creativity, judgement, critical thinking and problem solving skills and demonstrate the capacity to work responsibly, both individually and collaboratively, to address challenges in local and global contexts
- Create a safe and engaging learning environment using inclusive strategies, sustainable practices and digital technologies for diverse audiences
