Course Description
In this course you will have the opportunity to extend your professional practice knowledge and skills by working directly with industry. You will select one study option from a range of choices which may include a global intensive, a practice-based studio, an internship* or an industry project. Your choice must be negotiated and agreed to by your course or offering coordinator.
*An agreement including schedule and relevant insurance documentation is required to be completed before commencing each placement/internship (local and international). International placements/internships must be registered and processed through RMIT Global Mobility. In the case where a placement ends early, please refer to “Changes or cancellation of WIL activities” in the Work integrated learning (WIL) guideline.
Objectives/Learning Outcomes/Capability Development
This is a postgraduate elective course, which will complement the course learning outcomes you are developing in your program.
COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Critically analyse and discuss your professional practice in relation to key characteristics and emerging issues of global practice in media and communication contexts.
- Plan, develop and manage projects to meet client objectives, working collaboratively to achieve organisational and personal goals.
- Reflect upon your personal and professional learning and critically analyse your contribution to the professional setting, making connections between academic knowledge and skills and practical applications.

You will be actively engaged in learning that involves a range of activities such as studios, project work, lectures, tutorials, class discussion, individual and group activities.
