Course Description
As an ethical professional working in the digital age, it is important that you can interrogate the role and consequences of digital technology in business and society. In this course you will examine your ethical responsibilities as a professional and apply ethical theories and reasoning to global issues and dilemmas in areas such as: technology, work and employment; online privacy; online security; intellectual property; data analytics; artificial intelligence; and other areas relevant to the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals.

On successful completion of this course, you will be able to:
CLO 1: Critically reflect on ethical issues and ethical dilemmas in business and information systems.
CLO 2: Analyse ethical theories and apply them to support effective decision-making and ethical leadership in the field of business and information systems.
CLO 3: Work in teams or individually to debate theories, concepts and issues pertaining to business ethics for a digital society.
Overview of Learning Activities
In this course you will be encouraged to be an active learner. Your learning will be supported through various in-class and online activities comprising individual and group work. These may include quizzes; assignments; prescribed readings; sourcing, researching and analysing specific information; solving problems; conducting presentations; producing written work and collaborating with peers on set tasks or projects.
