Course Description

Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a subset of AI that can produce various types of content, including text, image, audio, etc. It is an enabling technology which can help businesses achieve greater productivity and higher quality output. This course aims to equip you with the knowledge and skills to harness the creative and problem-solving capabilities of generative AI. Through hands-on exercises and real-world case studies, you will learn how to develop generative AI prompts for various use cases. This course offers you the opportunity to leverage generative AI to automate tasks, enhance creativity, and drive business growth.

On successful completion of this course, you will be able to: 

CLO 1: Critically review the principles of generative AI and its applications in commercial environments. 

CLO 2: Critically investigate real-world case studies to assess how generative AI is transforming businesses. 

CLO 3: Develop prompts to generate creative business content, automate business process, and optimise business decision-making. 

CLO 4: Critically reflect on the legal, ethical, security and privacy risks associated with generative AI. 


Overview of Learning Activities

In this course, you will be encouraged to be an active learner. Your learning will be supported through various in-class and online activities comprising individual and group work. These may include quizzes; assignments; prescribed readings; sourcing, researching and analysing specific information; solving problems, conducting presentations, producing written work and collaborating with peers on set tasks or projects.
