Course Description
This course is designed as an interactive Work Integrated Learning (WIL) course, and includes a range of Industry Partnered Learning (IPL) activities with involvement of Melbourne based companies throughout the semester. The activities may include WIL Project, WIL in a Simulated Workplace Environment, or a blend of these activities. The course delivers industry insights and learnings to you through guided conversations with corporate leaders and workplace visits. This course offers a real-world learning journey to complement discipline theory and strengthen your understanding of how commerce operates in Australia, C-suite (executive and board level) issues and priorities and what is required of a commercial leader in the digital world.

On successful completion of this course, you will be able to:
CLO 1: Analyse the evolving Victorian metropolitan commerce landscape compared to different local, national, global and digital commerce landscapes.
CLO 2: Explore and differentiate Commerce Leadership personalities and management styles, reflecting on the impact of these evolving personalities and styles in the digital age.
CLO 3: Evaluate emerging digital commerce trends and leadership perspectives within a chosen disciplinary lens.
CLO 4: Appraise leadership approaches within the strategic and operational context of a chosen organisation.
Overview of Learning Activities
In this course, you will be encouraged to be an active learner. Your learning will be supported through various in-class and on-site activities comprising individual and group work. These may include quizzes; assignments; prescribed readings; sourcing, researching and analysing specific information; solving problems, conducting presentations, producing written work and collaborating with peers on set tasks or projects.
