Course Description
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to apply workplace policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for self and others. This includes identifying work health and safety (WHS) hazards, assessing risk and following safety procedures in the workplace with minimal supervision.

Overview of Assessment
Assessment is ongoing throughout the course and will include five assessments or projects. Assessments will be in the form of tests for underpinning knowledge and demonstration and observation of your ability to identify work health and safety (WHS) hazards, assess risk and follow safety procedures in the workplace with minimal supervision. Also by questioning for underpinning knowledge.
