Course Description
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to apply procedures to monitor the quality of own work and take action to ensure that quality standards are met.
This unit applies to individuals who are required to take responsibility for the quality of their own work and work to defined procedures.
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to apply procedures to monitor the quality of students own work and take action to ensure that quality standards are met when sewing garments.

Overview of Assessment
Assessment is ongoing throughout the course and will include five assessments or projects. Assessments will be in the form of tests for underpinning knowledge and demonstration and observation of your ability to work within a quality system, assess your own work, assess quality of materials, component parts or final products, investigate causes of quality deviations and complete documentation. Also by questioning for underpinning knowledge.
