This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to establish the foundations of massage practice and its place in the Australian health care system, identify and provide appropriate information about massage to different audiences, develop own approach to massage practice and evaluate what makes a sustainable practice.
This unit applies to massage therapists.
The skills in this unit must be applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State or Territory legislation, Australian standards and industry codes of practice.
