Come and buy a much-loved book, puzzle or board game generously donated by staff and students. There will be a huge range available, so come browse and buy.

All monies raised through your contributions will go to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation to provide essential literacy resources to children in remote Indigenous communities.

Can't make it to The Great Book Swap sale? You can donate to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation anytime:

It costs the Indigenous Literacy Foundation $10 to get one culturally appropriate book into the hands of a child in a remote Indigenous Community. In 2024 they hope to fund 18,000 books, which means they need to raise $180,000.

This year we’re aiming to donate $5000 to the ILF.

Indigenous Literacy Day

Wednesday 4 September is Indigenous Literacy Day, an annual celebration of the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples’ Stories, Cultures, and Languages. Thís year’s theme is 'Be a Proud Voice for Country'.

The online celebrations will start at 10:30am with a screening of a short film presenting unique stories, languages and cultures of three Aboriginal Communities. Then join a 45-minute livestream celebration from the Sydney Opera House: Storytelling and song with ILF Ambassadors Jessica Mauboy, Bianca Hunt, Justine Clarke, Josh Pyke, and others.
