In a globalised world of work, being able to demonstrate cultural communication and relationship building skills are critical to working in international and cross-cultural contexts.
Employees with a strong personal global ethic are increasingly being sought by global industries in order to work with internationally diverse stakeholders and partners.
The earner of this credential has undertaken an international internship and has demonstrated their ability to work and manage in international or cross-cultural contexts.
Skills and learning outcomes
- Speak, read, write and engage in a professional practice context using their chosen language.
- Live, work and learn in a professional context outside of the student's own culture or within a cross-cultural or international context within Australia
- Document, analyse and evaluate professional practice in a country other than their own or in an international context within an Australian-based agency
- Learn collaboratively, and to willingly share and deepen their knowledge and skills in their chosen communities of professional practice.
- Develop a network of professional contacts for internationally and or cross-culturally focused work.
- Establish links between lessons learned from professional practice and the knowledge gained from the core subjects, languages and the chosen electives.
