The Flash-Fire Laboratory for Advanced Manikin & Material Evaluation (FLAMME) facility enables the assessment of the thermal protection performance for materials concerned with urban and rural environments and applications for high-performance textiles that deliver solutions for safer and healthier lives.
RMIT’s Flash-Fire Laboratory for Advanced Manikin & Material Evaluation (FLAMME) facility is the first-of-its kind in Oceania. It is capable of testing a wide range of garments from everyday items to technical Personal Protective Clothing (PPC) used in firefighting, mining and aerospace industries. With this facility RMIT is helping research and design textiles that deliver solutions for safer and healthier lives.
