Associate Professor Bilgehan Karabay
Bilgehan Karabay is an Associate Professor in the School of Economics, Finance and Marketing at RMIT.
I am primarily a trade theorist but also interested in other applied theory work. I am also a researcher at CERGE-EI, Prague. Previously, I was a Senior Lecturer at the University of Auckland and before that I was an Economist at the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey. I got my PhD from the University of Virginia (go Wahoos!) in 2006.

Research Interests
My main research area is international trade, with a specific focus on the political economy of trade policy and international agreements. I am also interested in the economics of information and uncertainty, and in development economics and industrial organisation with particular reference to the effects of globalisation.
