Professor Tomislav Kovac
Tom Kovac is Professor of Architecture at RMIT University.
Tom Kovac is the Director of the Advanced Architecture stream within the School of Architecture and Design. His work is widely published and exhibited, and includes the honour of being the only Australian architect invited to design a proposal for a new World Trade Centre in New York, USA.
Tom Kovac has taught, lectured and exhibited throughout Europe, Japan and the United States, including at the Centre Pompidou, Paris; the Venice Biennale International Architecture Exhibition; the Launcher Symposium, NY; The NIA Rotterdam, Netherlands; Aedes, Berlin; and the FRAC Centre in Orleans, France. His work is in the permanent collection of the Centre Pompidou and the FRAC Centre in France, and The United States Library of Congress, Washington, USA.
His firm, Tom Kovac Architecture, has collaborated with other architects on projects ranging from the Ikon Tower in San Francisco, to a Hyper Centre in Toulouse, France. Current projects range from experimental conceptions and digital environments to urban planning development.
