Offshore Absence Request Form

If you're an international student aged under 18 studying at RMIT in Melbourne, you can use this form to tell RMIT you're leaving Australia during semester break.

If you're an international student aged under 18 studying at RMIT in Melbourne and you wish to leave Australia during a semester break to visit your home country or go on a holiday, you must complete and submit this form to request an offshore absence.

Make sure you check your important dates to confirm semester break dates before submitting this form and confirming your visit/holiday.

Please note, this form will not be approved for absences during your study period without evidence of compassionate and compelling circumstances.

Offshore Absence (Holiday) Request Form

Please note that international students under the age of 18 and subject to CAAW (Confirmation of Appropriate Accommodation and Welfare) cannot travel without the permission of RMIT University. Failure to report changes or leave the country without notice will result in the cancellation of the CAAW by RMIT, which may result in a cancellation of student visa by the Department of Home Affairs.
