Important: Your previous study and the number of programs you study in a calendar year can affect your eligibility for a Victorian Government subsidised place.

Further information
- These fees are estimates only. The student tuition fees as published are subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment.
- Fees are adjusted on an annual basis and the fees in your quote apply only to the year selected.
- Students are invoiced each semester based on their enrolled courses for that semester. Fees per semester can be calculated by multiplying the nominal hours of your intended enrolment with the hourly rate for your fee place as listed above.
- Tuition fees do not include the student services and amenities fee (SSAF) and materials fees that may apply.
- Materials fees include fees and charges associated with field trips or goods that are used to produce items that become your physical property. These fees are not compulsory and you may choose to purchase these items independently.
- Nominal hours represent a guide to the relative teaching time and student effort required to successfully achieve a particular competency/module. This may include not only scheduled classes or workplace visits but also the amount of effort required to undertake, evaluate and complete all assessment requirements, including any non-classroom activities.
- The duration shown is the standard duration for the program. However, RMIT may choose to deliver the program in a shorter length of time and if this occurs the total tuition fee for the program will remain the same.
The Victorian Government contribution to your tuition fees is paid directly to RMIT. Students are invoiced exclusive of the contribution.

This means that there may be two or more price streams for a single program.
Where this occurs, the ‘program description’ field will indicate the cohort by calendar year that corresponds to the annual fee price listed.

Diploma and advanced diploma students are not eligible for a concession or exemption of tuition fees.

Fee exemptions for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students are applied after commencement, no application is required.
Free TAFE
The Victorian Government is waiving tuition fees for eligible students commencing priority government subsidised non-apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs.
The number of Free TAFE places available is subject to change and the Victorian Government may cap the number of Free TAFE places available for a program at their discretion.
If you receive a Free TAFE place, the tuition fees for your whole program will be paid for by the Victorian Government through the ‘Free TAFE for Priority Courses’ scheme.
Additional expenses
If you receive a Free TAFE, you will need to cover the student services and amenities fee and any materials fees that may apply yourself.
