RMIT Foundation Studies is a standard streamed Foundation program. It has been designed to prepare you for success at university. This course is your direct pathway to degree courses at RMIT University.

About Foundation Studies at RMIT

RMIT University's Foundation Studies course is designed to give international students the skills you need to be university ready. Students who successfully complete Foundation Studies and meet the appropriate prerequisites are eligible to pathway into an RMIT University first-year undergraduate program or its equivalent. Foundation Studies is delivered by RMIT UP at our City Campus in Melbourne, Australia.

Foundation Studies is delivered face-to-face on campus and includes a live online component. Our delivery mode recognises the importance of preparing students for new ways of learning and working for the future.

Recognised high-quality teaching

Foundation Studies has been developed and accredited by RMIT as an alternative to completing Australian Year 12 studies or international equivalent. The course is delivered by RMIT University Pathways (RMIT UP), a company wholly owned by RMIT at our Melbourne City campus.
