CCSRI Awarded Best Education Project at iTnews Awards

The RMIT Centre for Cyber Security Research and Innovation (CCSRI) was recognised for outstanding work on their delivery of the Enhancing Cyber project at the 2023 iTnews Benchmark Awards.

Taking home the prize for Best Education Project, the Centre was celebrated for having one of the most innovative and impactful projects for educational institutions at all levels – from childcare to university to adult education – over the past year.

The Enhancing Cyber project was a federal-funded project focused on improving cyber security standards across Australia’s tertiary sector. The project also played a role in informing Australia’s 2020 National Cyber Security Strategy. Enhancing Cyber not only fostered cross-collaborative discussions across universities and government, but it also delivered a suite of resources to the tertiary sector, ultimately improving cyber protections and security standards in the sector.

For ten years, the ITNews Benchmark Awards have given organisations, their IT leaders and teams an opportunity to gain recognition for their ambition, innovation and the value they have delivered to government, industry and the public.

The success of the Enhancing Cyber project and the recognition of this award would not have been possible without the support and assistance of many individuals and institutions. The RMIT Centre for Cyber Security Research and Innovation celebrates this award with all of those who contributed to this project.
