Further success for Crossing the Farak River, by Michelle Aung Thin

Lab member Dr Michelle Aung Thin is enjoying continuing success and acclaim for her recent fiction release, Crossing the Farak River.

The book has just won the prestigious South Asia Book Award (SABA prize) in the USA. This will be officially announced on June 9 2020.

Crossing the Farak River  was also one of 23 works recommended by the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) to celebrate Asian Heritage month in Canada.

Congratulations, Michelle. An important and timely work, receiving well-deserved recognition.
