We spoke with RMIT student Sam Kendall about his experience of furthering his studies after completing an Associate Degree in Business. Sam is now in his first year of studying Bachelor of Accounting/Bachelor of Business.
Why did you choose RMIT originally?
I initially chose RMIT to pursue the Masters of Finance as I was becoming more interested in finance, accounting, and the Australian Securities Exchange before starting university. Additionally, I was undecided about what major to pursue, and the Associate Degree was a great choice since it would take the same amount of time as pursuing a Bachelor and provide me with an extra degree in addition to my Bachelor. The location and campus were also factors that contributed to my decision, as well as the strong and active student union.
Why did you choose to advance your studies with RMIT?
When it came time to advance my studies, I chose to stay with RMIT after learning about their newly announced Blockchain Enabled Business major. I didn't want to miss the opportunity to study a field that I knew would become increasingly important in the future.
What positive experiences have you had?
I have had many positive experiences that have contributed to my personal and professional growth. Being a part of the RMIT Blockchain Club and the RMIT Business Student Association has been a great experience for me. I've been able to meet and network with other like-minded individuals while learning about the latest developments in the industry. Additionally, the RMIT University Student Union has been an incredible resource for me, offering support, activities, and events that have enhanced my overall university experience.
With these experiences and events I have made numerous friends both inside and outside of class. This network has provided me with a great support system, and their insights and expertise have been invaluable to me.
