As a Foundation Participant, I am obliged to comply with the terms and conditions that apply to the Apple Foundation Program @ RMIT as follows:

While at the Apple Foundation Program @ RMIT location I must:

  • Dress neatly according to student standards at RMIT and behave in a courteous and polite manner;
  • Use, maintain and care for facilities and equipment in the Apple Foundation Program @ RMIT;
  • Abide by all laws and RMIT rules and regulations
  • Maintain a high standard of general behaviour so as to not disturb RMIT staff students and Apple Foundation Program participants; and
  • Keep all personal items and items provided under the Apple Foundation Program on my person at all times
  • Not eat or drink in the Apple Foundation Program teaching area 

  • I acknowledge that as part Foundation Program, I will be provided with equipment that is to be used only for the purpose of Foundation Program activities. I am not permitted to download any third-party software without prior approval from RMIT University;
  • I should respectfully use the equipment provided so that it remains in reasonably good physical and operating condition and promptly report any loss, damage or malfunction;
  • I must only use the Equipment provided for activities that relate to the Apple Foundation program. I must not undertake other activities (playing games, watching videos etc.) when using the equipment provided to me; 
  • I must not download third-party software without prior written approval;
  • I am not permitted to use Apple Developer attributes Academy in any activity that is contrary to laws and regulations
  • At the end of the program or on request, I will be required to return the hardware to RMIT University; and
  • I acknowledge that loss, damage or failure to return the program may result in RMIT or Apple undertaking steps to compel me to repair or return the equipment. 

  • Participants must attend the entire series of teaching and learning according to the program schedule and carry out all assignments and or activities. The Apple Foundation Program @RMIT will be undertaken during a specified time period on days and times provided to you by RMIT. The Apple Foundation Program @RMIT may include Workshops, Seminars, Coaching and other activities;
  • Participants must be present and fully contribute to teaching and learning activities regularly and on time. Delay tolerance is 15 minutes;
  • Participants must be present at RMIT 15 minutes before teaching and learning activities begin;
  • Participants are required to attend all classes and their attendance will be monitored daily by the Apple Foundation Program Facilitator / Mentor
  • If the Participant cannot attend class, they should have documented evidence of why they cannot attend. Such as a medical certificate for illness/appointment, or a hospital discharge certificate for hospitalisation
  • Medical/ Hospitalisation certificates must include the date/s that you did not attend class.
  • The deadline for reporting and submitting supporting evidence is 1 (one) day  after the Participant is unable to attend; 
  • If the Participant is absent for 2 (two) consecutive days without giving any reasons and cannot provide supporting evidence, then the Participant may be directly expelled from the Apple Foundation Program @ RMIT without a letter of recommendation. Participant must return all Equipment in reasonable condition and good working order as soon as possible. 

  • Each participant is required to maintain and care for any Equipment (including Macbook and Iphone) that have been provided to them while participating in the Apple Foundation Program @ RMIT.
  • Participants are not permitted to transfer the device that has been loaned or provided to them, to another Participant.
  • Each Participant is required to return any Equipment at the end of their daily activities or at another time specified in writing by their Facilitator/Mentor

Certificates will only be given to Participants, when:

  1. Participants meet the attendance requirements;
  2. Participants complete the assigned task;
  3. Participants complete the initial and final evaluation surveys.

 

 

Participant with Apple Foundation Program @RMIT

  • Participants maintain the confidentiality of the material and agree not to reproduce or distribute through any media (print, social or other) during and after the Apple Foundation Program @RMIT takes place. 
  • Participants maintain the good name of Apple Foundation Program @ RMIT by not disseminating information and or activities that harm Apple Foundation Program @RMIT in any way. If there is a violation of this matter, we will report it to the authorities for legal processing;
  • Entrants do not change data owned by Apple Foundation Program @ RMIT without the permission of the relevant officials;
  • Participants do not commit acts that are proven to disturb public order and or defame the name/reputation of the Apple Foundation Program @ RMIT, either directly or through other media available in the community;
  • Participants do not carry out activities on behalf of Apple Foundation Program @RMIT without written permission from the parties concerned.

Any violations of these conditions will be investigated and pursued as appropriate.

Participants with Facilitators/Mentors/Staff

  • Participants must follow all instructions and directions and ask questions to the Facilitator regarding material that has not been understood politely and maintain order;
  • If the Participant does not provide significant improvement, the Participant is ready to be removed from the Apple Foundation Program @ RMIT at any time;
  • Participants must complete each task given to the best of their abilities and maximize creativity by thinking creatively according to the set time, and always trying to learn or conduct research to solve existing problems;
  • Participants must respect, respect, be polite and courteous to Facilitator/Mentors/Staff in their interactions;
  • Participants must be polite in expressing opinions and expressing disagreements;
  • Participants do not issue threats either directly or indirectly against the Facilitator/Mentors/Staff;
  • Participants do not give money or goods to the Facilitator/Mentors/Staff for the work that should be done.

Participants Acknowledge: 

  • Material created by you – you give us a non-exclusive, irrevocable, worldwide, sublicensable and royalty-free licence to use the Material created by you for the purposes in item ii) below. You promise you have the right to give us this licence (e.g. that you are the author/creator of the Material), & that the licence will not infringe any other person’s IP, or result in breach of any contract or law.
  •  How we use the Material (purposes) – we may publicly communicate, reproduce, broadcast or publish the Material (which may be reasonably edited, adapted or altered by us) as we see fit and in any medium. You agree that we may use the Material for any of our objects under our incorporating legislation, including teaching, learning, research & promotional activities.
  • that they must not carry out practical political campaigns or similar actions for the benefit of a particular political party and its affiliates;
  • that they are prohibited from bringing guests into the Apple Foundation Program @ RMIT room without obtaining permission from the Staff and/or Facilitator/Mentor.

With this letter, I declare that I promise to fulfill all the rules of the Apple Foundation Program @ RMIT consciously and without coercion from any party and accept all the consequences if I violate the rules
