Course structure

Our flexible Bachelor of Business with a Human Resource Management major means that you can customise your degree and study human resource management alongside other majors, minors, or a unique combination of subjects to align with your personal and professional aspirations.

This course contains 24 subjects that can be undertaken through a variety of different study loads that suit your work and lifestyle needs. For example: 

  • If you choose to do a full-time study load, you’ll complete 8 subjects per year (2 per term) for 3 years or;  
  • If you choose to study part-time, you may choose to complete 4 subjects per year (1 per term) over 6 years. 

Or, you can choose a study load that aligns with your personal situation and take longer to study for your degree if you need to. Please reach out to Student success team if you need additional support. Note, you must complete the Bachelor of Business within a maximum period of 10 years.

For this Human Resource Management major, you'll complete the 8 subjects that make up the major, with the opportunity to choose another major, a selection of minors, or a unique combination of subjects to make up the 24 subjects within your course.

BUSM4471 Business Internship (optional)

This optional subject is an application-of-knowledge subject that includes a virtual industry project, preparing you with industry-ready skills upon completion of the course. While not mandatory to complete your degree, we recommend that you complete this subject after having completed your major(s) or minor(s).

BUSM2582 Business Graduate Folio – Capstone subject (mandatory)

This practically based final subject integrates outcomes of your self-directed journey and is where you will complete your employer-ready portfolio.
