Overview

Restricted Electrical Workers Licence - Class 2 Assessment is a 1 hour 10 minute assessment.

Assessment only: RMIT does not offer REL Class 2 (Disconnect Reconnect) training as a short course.

To be eligible to undertake this assessment, you must have completed one of the following units of competency:

  • NREL 1 & 2; UEERL0004; UEENEEP001B; UEESS00133; MEM18049; UEENEEP010A, UEENEEP011A, UEENEEP012A, UEENEEP013A, UEENEEP014A, UEENEEP015A.

It is recommended you contact Energy Safe Victoria (1800 815 721) to assess your eligibility and evidence required for the Restricted Electrical Worker's Licence, Class 2.

Please note that students who did not do their training at RMIT will be asked to provide evidence of eligibility when enrolling.

Step 3: Await email confirmation

You will receive a course confirmation email approximately one week prior to the course, with more details, before course commencement.

Prerequisites

Students must hold the relevant Class 2 unit of competency.

Materials supplied

All relevant materials, assessment equipment and examinations are included.

Materials to bring

To sit the exam students must bring: a pair of insulated gloves (either 650V or 1,000V rated), a pair of leather rigger gloves and an analogue insulation-continuity tester.

This assessment is suitable for trades such as plumbers, mechanical fitters, refrigeration and air-conditioning mechanics.

Outcome

Successful students will receive a Statement of Independent Assessment.
