To be eligible, you must be a final‑year student or an RMIT alumnus within one year post‑graduation. We’re looking for the next generation of leaders to join our Graduate Program.

Shape how artificial intelligence transforms the future of education.

This stream is for graduates who are curious about emerging technologies, excited by innovation, and motivated to help people harness AI in meaningful, responsible and impactful ways.

As an AI Accelerator graduate, you'll work at the forefront of RMIT's AI transformation. Based within the Office of the Chief Operating Officer and Vice-President, you'll contribute to initiatives that build AI capability across the university, support innovation, and help embed responsible AI practices into teaching, research and operations. You'll work with staff across Colleges and Portfolios to explore opportunities, solve problems and enable new ways of working through AI.

What you'll work on

Building AI awareness, literacy and capability across the university
Supporting AI initiatives, projects and innovation opportunities
Coordinating workshops, communities of practice and engagement activities
Developing resources and guidance that help staff adopt AI responsibly

The impact

Your work will help shape how RMIT adopts and uses AI to improve experiences, enhance capability and accelerate innovation. You'll contribute to building an AI-enabled organisation that empowers staff and students to work, learn and create in new ways while ensuring AI is used responsibly and effectively.

Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Information Systems, Digital Innovation, Engineering, Business, Project Management, Communications, or related disciplines with an interest in AI, digital transformation and emerging technologies.

Turn data into better campus decisions.

This stream is for graduates who enjoy working with data, uncovering insights and using analytics to solve real-world challenges.

As a Data & Analytics graduate within Property Services, you'll help shape how RMIT plans, manages and optimises its campuses. Working across two rotations, you'll partner with teams responsible for business operations, campus planning and space management, using data to inform decisions that improve the student and staff experience.

Power BI dashboards and visualisation
Space utilisation and planning insights
Business performance and operational analytics

The impact

Your work helps RMIT make smarter, evidence-based decisions about its campuses and services. From improving space utilisation to supporting strategic planning, you'll turn data into insights that shape the future of the university.

Curiosity, analytical thinking and a passion for turning data into meaningful insights. You'll enjoy solving problems, identifying trends and working with stakeholders to drive better outcomes.

What you get

Hands-on experience with enterprise data, reporting and analytics tools, exposure to strategic decision-making, and the opportunity to build highly sought-after data and business intelligence skills.

Best suited to graduates from

Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science or related disciplines, with an interest in property, planning, infrastructure or the built environment.

Shape how the world experiences RMIT.

This stream is for graduates who want to tell meaningful stories, build powerful connections and help a global university make its mark.

As a graduate in Engagement, you’ll work at the intersection of brand, reputation and impact. This portfolio plays a critical role in how RMIT shows up – locally and globally – by engaging students, alumni, partners, donors and communities in ways that matter.

You’ll contribute to initiatives that elevate RMIT’s voice, grow its global presence, and support the university’s strategic priorities across teaching, research and social impact.

What you’ll work on

Developing and delivering communications that protect and enhance RMIT’s brand and reputation
Supporting global marketing and student recruitment initiatives across priority markets
Building engagement with alumni, partners and philanthropic communities
Using market insights and data to inform strategy, propositions and decision‑making
Creating digital content, platforms and experiences that connect audiences to RMIT’s purpose and impact

This stream is for graduates who want to go beyond analysing numbers and play a role in how organisations make real-world spending and investment decisions.

As a Procurement graduate within Finance, you’ll help ensure RMIT’s purchasing decisions align with budgets, financial strategy and long-term value. Working across sourcing, supplier management and governance, you’ll see how financial planning connects directly to how money is spent – balancing cost, risk, sustainability and impact.

What you’ll work on

Supporting sourcing activities and tender processes to deliver value-for-money outcomes
Analysing spend data and supplier performance to inform financial decision-making
Partnering with stakeholders to ensure purchasing aligns with budgets and strategy
Contributing to procurement systems, controls and continuous improvement

Design and improve the student experience.

This stream is for graduates who want to understand how organisations design services end-to-end and how data, strategy and stakeholder collaboration can improve real experiences.

As a Student Lifecycle graduate within the College of Business & Law, you’ll work across the full student journey, from onboarding through to engagement and success. Acting as an internal business analyst, you’ll partner with teams to understand how services operate, identify opportunities for improvement and deliver insights that shape how RMIT supports its students.

What you’ll work on

Rotating across key Student Experience areas, including advising, work-integrated learning and engagement
Analysing student feedback and data to identify trends, gaps and opportunities
Supporting the design and improvement of student-facing services, processes and communications
Delivering a structured project focused on improving how teams work together and support students

The impact

Your work helps shape a more connected, data-driven and student-centred experience, improving how RMIT supports students from enrolment through to graduation.

What you give

Strong analytical thinking, curiosity, stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to translate insights into practical improvements.

What you get

Hands-on experience working as an internal business analyst, exposure to multiple business areas and the opportunity to build in-demand skills in service design, data analysis and continuous improvement.

Business, Commerce, Economics, Business Analytics, Information Systems or related disciplines.

We’re assessing potential, not polish.

You don’t need prior corporate experience or a 'perfect' resume. We’re interested in how you think, learn and approach challenges – not just what’s already on paper.

Step one: Online application

Kickstart your journey by submitting your online application. This step helps us confirm your eligibility for the Graduate Program and understand your background, studies and interests.

This stage is about ensuring you meet the program requirements – not about having the 'perfect' experience.

Step two: Online assessment

Show us what you can do! Our online assessment is designed to understand how you think, solve problems and work with others.

We know that great graduates come from diverse backgrounds, so this assessment focuses on your skills and potential, not just your past experience. You’ll complete a series of activities, including video questions and skill‑based assessments, that allow you to demonstrate strengths.

This flexible, online format allows you to complete the assessment at a time that suits you and gives you a fair opportunity to shine.

Step three: Assessment centre and interviews

This is where the fun begins! Our assessment centre is your opportunity to engage with us directly and demonstrate your skills through interactive activities. You'll meet the RMIT Talent Team, Graduate Program Lead, and business leaders, giving you the perfect chance to ask questions and learn more about the graduate experience at RMIT. During the day, you'll also have a one-on-one with the area manager of your chosen stream to see how you fit into our team culture.

We believe feedback is essential for growth. Every candidate who participates in the assessment centre will have the opportunity to receive feedback, whether successful or not. We want you to learn and grow from this experience!

Starting salary of $84,181.00 + 17% superannuation
The option to purchase up to six weeks of additional leave

Eligibility

To be eligible for the RMIT Graduate Program, you must:

be a final-year RMIT student or an RMIT alumnus who has graduated within the past 2 years (from 2025); and
have completed a diploma, advanced diploma, undergraduate or postgraduate degree; and
be available to work full time from February 2027 to February 2028; and
meet one of the following Australian working rights criteria:
- You are an Australian or New Zealand citizen; or
- You hold an Australian permanent visa; or
- You hold a temporary visa with unrestricted work rights at the commencement of the 2026 intake year for a term of 12 months or more (e.g. Temporary Graduate, secondary 457/TSS, provisional Partner visa)

Please note: Applications are also open to candidates currently on a restricted Student Visa, provided they will hold an unrestricted visa that is valid at the commencement of the program.
