Future Ready Business Series

About the series

Through the Future Ready Business Series, RMIT’s College of Business and Law connects local business leaders with its growing Alumni community, to network, exchange knowledge and learn from global experts in the field of business, technology, and social impact.

Launched in 2020, to provide the RMIT alumni business community with practical advice to respond to the challenges created by the pandemic, the “Business Transformation in Challenging Times" webinar series attracted alumni from across the globe, including Australia, Spain, Vietnam and Singapore.

Rebranded as the "Future Ready Business Series" in 2022, and shifting to in-person events, the initiative is strategically designed to provide the global alumni network, business leaders and local Government bodies with invaluable insights into emerging business trends and the evolving global marketplace.

Since inception, there have been 26 initiatives in this series with in-person events across Australia, Vietnam, Singapore, India, China and Indonesia.

For individuals unable to attend in-person events, digital resources and recordings of past events are available.

Testimonies

Mr. Stanley EU

Director at Parasoft, Singapore & Southeast Asia

“One of the things that I have learnt from attending this series is that there are different depths and different types of things people are looking for to be future ready. I felt it was very useful to hear the insights from the industry panelists and RMIT Academics, which I wouldn’t have known otherwise. “

Jeannine Lim

RMIT Alumni on RMIT’s Sustainable Procurement Index

“From a day to day perspective we don’t get to hear in-depth analysis and discussions about these topics and issues, so to come here and to see how RMIT has come up with an index to actually help companies to systemize their sustainability procedures and practices, I think it’s very good, its educational and its definitely something to think about.”

Gayle Wong

President, RMIT Singapore Alumni Chapter

"What an amazing line-up of speakers and panelists who shared great insights in advancing sustainable practices and fostering innovation in procurement strategies. Such deep learnings from Professor Charles Lau, Professor Prem Chhetri, Professor Vinh Thai (RMIT University) - as well as the Singapore Economic Development Board and Ministry of Finance.”
