The CoBL Gender Equity and Inclusion Action Plan seeks to continue identifying and addressing the barriers to women’s inclusion and progression at the University.
The Gender Equity and Inclusion Reference Group – Research Stream (GEIRG-RS) in CoBL has been established to enable female RMIT academic staff and research fellows at all career stages to connect with one another and build a strong research community. The committee seeks to provide support to foster and create positive research culture to share experience and research interest and promote interdisciplinary research in CoBL.
The committee will also provide an environment for informal support and mentoring. GEIRG-RS is tasked with progressing the initiatives outlined in the Plan under the research stream. For 2022/2023 these initiatives include, but not limited to the development and implementation of:
a) To progress and implement above initiatives and identify and develop new ones.
b) To foster an environment that supports the research objectives of women to ensure, develop and retain talent.
c) To facilitate networking, mentoring, and support for women at different stages of research career.
d) To participate in the evaluation/review and then development and implementation of RMIT and CoBL research programs for gender inclusivity and participation.
