In 2020 Erika Picone started the Advanced Diploma of Interpreting (LOTE-English) at RMIT. Unfortunately, not long after the beginning of the course it had to move to online learning due to the pandemic.

As Erika was unable to work, she used this opportunity to move her career in a new and unexpected direction and built an online Italian tutoring service and slowly her business started to become successful! Erika had a lot to learn and put a lot of work into it, but it gave her confidence in teaching. Tutoring is now one of her main sources of income.

After graduating Erika has also started to work as an interpreter and she is absolutely thrilled with the job, the people she meets, the stories she hears and the challenges it presents.
