Book Launch - Strategic Integrated Program Delivery: Learning from the Level Crossing Removal Project

Please join us to celebrate the publication of Emeritus Professor Derek Walker, Mark Betts and Professor Peter Love's new book, Strategic Integrated Program Delivery: Learning from the Level Crossing Removal Project.

This book outlines a cutting-edge form of program delivery which the authors term SIP-Form or Strategic Integrated Program delivery. The book takes the reader on a journey through the complex Melbourne Level Crossing Removal Program (LXRP), and after giving the background and relevant context covers topics such as strategy, governance, procurement, collaboration, program alliance, HRM, leadership, digital innovation, continuous improvement,community engagement and performance measurement. This detailed analysis of such a complex program of projects makes this book essential reading for project managers, engineers and advanced students of project delivery and management.

An outline explanation of the book’s content will be explained at the launch. Light refreshments will be provided.

  • Professor Ron Wakefield, Dean of the school of Property, Construction and Project Management (PCPM) will introduce the event with Professor Tayyab Maqsood to frame the research as part of the Project Management research agenda in PCPM, particularly relevant to the level crossing program of projects.

Overview of the book – by Emeritus Professor Derek Walker and Mark Betts from the LXRP to explain the book's content and engage in questions and answers.

6:45 to 7:30

Networking and complimentary refreshments.
