Sarah Liu 从小就立志要成为“非凡的人”。她生懐远大理想和抱负。她善良本性让所有认识她的人都视她为一个非凡的人物。

七岁时,Sarah 随家人从香港移民到澳大利亚。她很快适应了墨尔本的生活并便爱上了这个新的家园。她学业优异,广结好友,并与老师们相处融洽。

课外,Sarah也热衷于许多爱好,其中烘焙、志愿服务和飞行是她的最爱。她是一位多产的面包师,经常与她在RMIT 的同学和老师们分享她做的美味蛋糕、松饼和饼干,带大家来了无数的欢乐。

Sarah 的母亲 刘女士 表示: “Sarah 非常喜欢烘焙,并获得了烘焙资格证书。她的蛋糕制作水平堪比专业蛋糕师”。

Sarah 总是将他人放在第一位。小时候,她自愿教孩子们打篮球;长大后,她又经常献血,并自豪地宣布自己是一名注册器官捐赠者。

刘女士说: “我女儿对人和社会充满了爱,她常说,不能太自私,因为有很多人需要帮助”。
在她追求飞行梦想的过程中,Sarah 展现出专注和执着,深受 RMIT 飞行训练社区的同学和教员的尊敬。

“Sarah 从小就立志成为一名飞行员。12 岁时,她就立志尽全力成为一名飞行员。当她被 RMIT 飞行训练班录取时,她简直不敢相信这是真的!她甚至让妈妈带她去Point Cook亲自确认录取的真实性!确认会才告诉她的朋友们,她即将梦想成真” 。刘先生说道。

为了成为一名澳大利亚国防军飞行员,Sarah非常努力的训练着,在飞行训练班的九个月是她最幸福的时光。她喜欢飞行的感觉,热爱从高空俯瞰的视角,并为成为一名飞行员感到无比自豪。

在她不幸去世后,刘家以她的名义成立了“Sarah’s Dream” 基金,帮助其他有抱负的飞行员实现他们的梦想。

“在许多方面,我将这个基金视作我女儿的延续。它将继承她的活力、抱负和对社会的关怀。我们也希望借此注重强调飞行中安全和警觉的重要性,哪怕是一个小小的错误也可能带来严重的后果。通过这个基金,我希望帮助更多的人,激励更多人像 Sarah 一样勇敢追梦。那会让我感到安慰。” 刘先生说。

Donation management

All donations are deposited into the RMIT Philanthropic Fund and invested as per RMIT’s Responsible Investment Principles through our partnership with Russell Investments. The RMIT Philanthropy Fund is managed by the Philanthropy Fund Committee in accordance with the University’s legislative and policy requirements. Interest and earnings generated through investments are directed back into the endowment to support its ongoing success and impact.
