RMIT Culture Partners with Birrarangga Film Festival

Ngarara Willim, RMIT Culture and RMIT University are honoured to partner with the Birrarangga Film Festival to present the festival's opening night celebration at The Capitol on Thursday 23 March.

The partnership unites our shared commitment to celebrating and showcasing the work of people who are making a difference in the world.

Birrarangga's commitment to Indigenous storytelling, support of emerging leaders in the screen industry and generating visibility for First Nations filmmakers aligns with RMIT's aspiration for reconciliation.

RMIT Culture is also delighted to be working with RMIT's Ngarara Willim Centre.

Beginning on Thursday 23 March, Birrarangga Film Festival will showcase and celebrate global Indigenous filmmakers whose films explore the curatorial themes of 'strength, resilience and the environment'.

Curated by Wurundjeri (Woiwurrung) / Yorta Yorta screen creative and actor Tony Briggs, BFF will present over 90 beautiful, raw, inspiring and heart-breaking feature length and short films from around the world.

The special event at The Capitol on Thursday 23 March will feature the Australian premiere of Marie Clements' psychological drama, Bones of Crows.
