Become an Activator resident to contribute to a supportive network of founders, who support you while you support them.
Introducing Activator's Residency Program! The Residency is a partnership, designed around the value you can contribute - your skills and your time - and the value you can get from other people. Residency is built around the philosophy that a founder’s journey doesn’t ever end - it transforms along with your startup.
Residency at Activator is designed so you can continue learning with new friends, while we give you the tools and networks to continue building on your momentum post FounderHUB and LaunchHUB.
Residency spans three to six months, depending on which program you have graduated from. The program acts as an extension of FounderHUB and LaunchHUB, enabling you to keep learning and stay immersed in the Activator ecosystem.
You will be supported through your Residency with fortnightly check ins with your dedicated Activator startup support coordinator and fellow cohort members. These check ins are a great way to seek feedback, pitch your idea and seek support.
Residents will have access to the RMIT Activator co-working space which includes meeting rooms, hotdesks, kitchen facilities and of course a community of startups, founders and entrepreneurs just like you!
Every month, you will be invited to a series of exclusive Lunch & Learn sessions to deepen your knowledge on business topics, meet people in the startup world and explore high-value, niche business topics.
Residents are never short of support, as we connect you to a team to hold you accountable, grow your ideas and push your boundaries. We connect you with your peers and helpful experts, who give their time to share their skills.
1-hour hybrid check ins to discuss wins, blockers, and your monthly focus. The sessions are used to connect you to the support you need, whether it’s resources or people. The check ins take place every second Wednesday.
We offer a co-working space with hotdesking available on a first-come basis. Our space also includes meeting rooms for collaborative sessions. To make the most of our facilities, we kindly request residents visit and use the space a minimum of 2 days per week.
HUBday takes place on the last Wednesday of every month. It’s a gathering for residents, offering valuable networking and learning opportunities. To be eligible for the residency extension, a minimum HUBDay attendance of 60% is required.
To be eligible for the Residency Program, you must have successfully completed FounderHUB or LaunchHUB.
To qualify for an extension, you must maintain a minimum 60% attendance in Residency check ins and HUBdays. This helps us make sure you’re making a consistent contribution to the Activator community.
Residency is currently only available for FounderHUB and LaunchHUB alumni. The good news is, they are fantastic programs that cover a wide range of needs.
