Crypto-Governance Observatory participant information

The Crypto-Governance Observatory is run by researchers and is used to generate discussion and collect data on blockchain governance. The following provides information about The Observatory and asks for your consent to use your posts for research purposes.

By joining this server, you agree that your posts may be collected, analysed and quoted in research publications such as academic papers or books. Your contributions may also be made available in research summaries on govbase an open repository for digital governance tools and projects.  

Only people aged over 18 may participate. 

Benefits of participation

The research findings may be beneficial to you and your community by providing new insights into online community governance. 

You may be gifted an Observatory NFT as thanks for your contribution. NFTs will be awarded at regular intervals to randomly selected participants of The Observatory. 

The NFTs are created by artists associated with The Observatory. We make no claim about their monetary value.  

To be eligible for NFTs, individual participants will be required to provide an ethereum wallet address at the time of consent.  

Confidentiality

Your comments in the research discussion channel will be linked to your Discord handle. If you wish to remain anonymous you must enter the channel using a Discord handle that is not linked to your real-world identity.  

You may withdraw from the study at any time during the data collection phase via direct message to [insert ‘remove me’ bot name]). If you choose to do this, none of your comments, interactions or your Discord handle will be used in any research publications.
