2027 research scholarships

Information regarding opening and closing dates for the 2027 RMIT Centrally Awarded Research Scholarship round is available in the table below:

2027 scholarship round opens for expressions of interest (EOIs). 1 June 2026 1 June 2026
EOI deadline (last day to submit documents for EOI assessment). 30 September 2026 30 August 2026
Full application deadline (last day to submit documents for full applications). 30 October 2026 30 September 2026
Successful applicants will begin receiving their offers. 14 December 2026 23 November 2026
All outcomes finalised (students put in a reserve list will also be notified). March 2027

Scholarships are awarded through a highly competitive process. Please ensure you read and understand all instructions and eligibility criteria to ensure your application is competitive.

If you intend to apply for a scholarship, we recommend that you start the application process and submit your expression of interest as soon as possible. There will likely be strong competition among many of the research scholarships on offer.

Candidates are welcome to apply outside the designated window for research scholarships funded through alternative sources (non-centrally funded schemes – including school or college-based scholarships, industry-sponsored scholarships or other financial guarantees. Applications for the Central Scholarship Round are to be submitted strictly within the dates listed above.
