Which campus is right for you?

Before you actually come to an RMIT Open Day, you might find yourself asking which one is right for you. Each of our campuses is breathtaking in their own way, but they offer different study areas and facilities.

Our iconic RMIT Melbourne City campus has facilities to serve every study area. No matter what you’re interested in, the City campus will have it. There are inspiring spaces at our Brunswick campus that focus on design and fashion, and you won’t want to miss the high-tech marvels of the Bundoora campus, which caters to health, medical science and education.

Here's a quick guide to the study areas offered at each of our Melbourne campuses:

What to do when you arrive

If you’re arriving at RMIT Open Day and aren’t sure where to go first, stop in at the Welcome Marquee. Psst… it'll save you a lot of time and help you navigate the campus.

At the City campus, the Welcome Marquee will be on Bowen Street next to Building 1, at Bundoora it will be in the library courtyard and at Brunswick it will be in the campus courtyard. They’re all super easy to spot when you arrive.

Not only can the staff at these marquees give you the rundown of Open Day, they’ll also have an Open Day guide for you. It’s a great idea to grab one of these, as they’re full of info that you’ll want close at hand.

Remember: If you’re ever feeling lost while on-campus check Google Maps. Each RMIT building is listed on Google for your convenience.

Opening the door to your favourite course

Whether it’s just one course or a few that you’ve got your eye on, RMIT Open Day is the best time to see what studying your favourite course is really like.

And it’s easier than ever to find the sessions, campus tours, teachers and current students for each study area!

When you arrive, pick up an Open Day guide, or if you want to get ahead of the crowd, you can download the guide right now. In the guide you’ll find the time and location of each of our study activities and campus tours. There are also maps so you’ll never be without directions.

There will be Hubs located around our campuses on the day for you to claim your freebie. All you need to do is:

  1. Register your attendance
  2. Show your confirmation of registration to one of the Prize Hub crew on the day
  3. Claim your freebie

Check the Open Day guide maps to find the Prize Hubs!

Where to find food

You can’t enjoy your day on an empty stomach – so it’s a good thing there are plenty of food options on offer. You’ll find cafés at each of our campuses, and an assortment of food vendors ranging from delicious street food to RMIT’s very own Oxford Scholar on the City campus.

There will also be free coffee available at each of the Open Day events. If you’re craving something in particular, keep in mind that the City campus is in the heart of Melbourne and there are many amazing options close at hand. We’ve even got a handy list of cheap eats nearby the campus

Discovering student life and support services

You’ll see a lot of the student-run clubs and societies around each of the campuses on the day. Many of them will have their own marquees and student leaders ready explain what they’re all about. From the SCUBA club to the literature society, you’ll find all kinds of student-run groups at Open Day.
