RMIT's presence in the world of gaming has skyrocketed. With state-of-the-art facilities, unwavering support for elite athletes, and a dedicated team of staff and clubs, esports enthusiasts are drawn to RMIT, knowing it leads the way in this rapidly expanding industry.
In addition to producing world-class game designers through our highly-regarded courses, we have two dedicated spaces for esports and games at the Melbourne City campus, a thriving community of teams and clubs, an appointed esports and games project manager on staff, and an established program to support elite and emerging student athletes.
We have triumphed in the University Esports League for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive at PAX Australia, and placed 1st in the Australian Esports League University Cup for Super Smash Bros Ultimate, along with several other podium finishes in League of Legends, Dota 2, and Tekken 7 across all competitions. We’ve hosted professional teams and live-streamers, and we are generally considered to be the most active university in Australia in this space.
RMIT is situated in the fastest growing esports regions in the world with Asia-Pacific making up over 57% of the global gaming audience.
