Brunswick campus

The Brunswick campus, six kilometres north of the city, is part of the creative and multicultural Sydney Road district close to markets, eclectic shops, pubs, and a thriving art and music scene.

The campus is situated just a few minutes away from Sydney Road - a vibrant, multicultural area with a variety of shops, restaurants, pubs and markets. It is home to education students and many of our design-related programs and research, including textile technologies, fashion, merchandising and product development.

Features and facilities

The campus features a number of specialist facilities that support research and learning and teaching in these areas.

The Brunswick campus is also home to a number of exhibition and creative spaces that reflect its design focus.

Other campus features include the library, a car park and cafeteria.

Fashion Hub

RMIT's $8 million Fashion Hub is a world-class facility located at the Brunswick campus. The space allows students and staff to experiment with fashion design in an urban environment while learning industry best practice.

Food and drinks

On-campus you'll find a number of food retailers, microwaves and free drinking water stations.

Brunswick campus is just a few minutes walk from Sydney Road, a vibrant and multicultural precinct with a variety of shops, restaurants, pubs and markets.

Transport

Jewell Station (Upfield Line) is 150 metres from the Union Street entrance to the Brunswick campus.

Sydney Road is serviced by the Route 19 tram from Elizabeth Street (City to North Coburg). To access the campus, get off the tram at Stop 21 (Glenlyon Road/Sydney Road) and walk west about 250 metres along Dawson Street.

Bus connections operate from Melbourne International Airport and Avalon Airport (Geelong) direct to Melbourne’s Southern Cross Station on Spencer Street. From here you can connect with metropolitan trams and trains.
